Powered by a 2.2-litre engine, the car produces 170bhp and 155lb/ft of pulling power. This enables the soft top to accelerate from 0-62mph (100kph) in 8.3 seconds before hitting a top speed of 140mph, while averaging 31.7mpg.

Inside, the convertible is equipped with an onboard computer, six-disc CD player, climate and cruise control and full black leather seats.

Other features on the German motor include traction control, parking sensors and a tracker.

The mercurial midfielder shot to fame in the 1990 World Cup, where he famously cried after being booked in the semi-final against West Germany.

His career was blighted by injuries, but he once again starred for England in Euro ’96, where he scored one of the goals of the tournament against Scotland, with the three lions beating the Auld enemy 2-0.

Gazza played for Tottenham Hotspur, Lazio and Glasgow Rangers, while scoring ten times in his 57 games for England.
