20 September 2007 Click here for more pictures of the Farbio GTS Say hello to Powered by a 3.5-litre supercharged V6 engine, the lightweight GTS produces 384bhp which is channelled to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox. This power accelerates the Bath-built motor from 0-60mph in a Lamborghini Gallardo-beating 3.9 seconds before reaching a top speed in excess of 175mph. To stop at these crazy speeds the GTS’s 19-inch alloys house massive 350mm disc brakes at the front and 350mm at the rear. For optimum handling Farbio has fitted the mid-engined GTS with an adjustable sports suspension. While it looks and performs like a sports car, it offers practicality with a 220-litre boot, capable of carrying a set of golf clubs. Other features include a sat-nav, sports seats, air conditioning and a 76 litre fuel tank – but Farbio hasn’t specified fuel economy figures. If the supercharged model is too hairy, buyers can opt for a normally aspirated GTS, which hits 60mph in 4.9 seconds before maxing out at an estimated 160mph. Prices start from £59,000 for the basic GTS, rising to £70,000 for the supercharged model. But you’ll have to be patient if you want one. The current waiting list for a GTS is eight months.
