A convertible Mercedes owned by England and Liverpool star Steven Gerrard is for sale on Auto Trader.

Gerrard was the first owner of this 2004 Mercedes CLK320 Avantgarde, which he owned for ten months.

Powered by a 3.2-litre V6 engine, the Merc produces 218bhp and 229lb/ft of pulling power.

This accelerates the sleek convertible from 0-62mph (100kph) in 8.2 seconds and on to an electronically-limited top speed of 155mph.

Inside, the CLK has sat-nav, leather memory seats, all-round electrics and a sound system with CD autochanger.

Safety features include anti-lock brakes, driver and front passenger airbags, electronic stability control and a top-end security system.

The jet-black Mercedes also benefits from sexy AMG alloys and has covered just 39,000 miles.

Liverpool captain Gerrard had a dream start to the football season, scoring a brilliant free kick late in the Reds’ first game of the season against Aston Villa.

He’s renowned for his match-winning performances, leading Liverpool to Champions League victory in 2005.

And it’s not the first Gerrard-owned car we’ve featured on Auto Trader.

Earlier this year we had his old BMW X5 for sale.

Now you can get your hands on Gerrard’s old convertible Mercedes CLK – which has had three owners and cost more than £40,000 new – for £30,000.
