A BMW 7-Series owned by legendary England and Newcastle United manager Bobby Robson is for sale on Auto Trader.

Robson’s 2001 BMW 740i V8 Sport has been fully-loaded with performance and luxury extras.

Using a 4.4-litre V8, the Beemer produces 286bhp and 325lb/ft of pulling power.

This means a sprint from 0-62mph (100kph) in 6.8 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 155mph.

Inside, the BMW features sports seats, sat-nav, top-of-the-range sound system and all-round electrics.

To give the luxury saloon – which cost £54,000 new – a sportier feel, it has been fitted with the M pack, meaning uprated wheels and suspension.

Bobby Robson is one of England’s best known managers. He made his name in the Seventies with Ipswich Town before managing England between 1982 and 1990.

He took the Three Lions to the quarter final of the 1986 World Cup before Maradona and the infamous Hand of God knocked the national side out.

Four years later, England experienced further heartache when they lost the semi-final on penalties against West Germany.

He later managed a string of European clubs before returning to his native North-East to manage Newcastle United from 1999 – 2004 - leading them to a fifth place finish in the 2003/2004 season.
