Aston Martin One-77 hypercar at Paris Motor Show
06 October 2008 Paris Motor Show goers have been treated to a sneak peek at the world’s next hypercar – the Aston Martin One-77. While almost completely concealed, there were parts of the Aston Martin clearly visible such as a massive front grille and sexy alloy wheels. It’s expected to cost in the region of £1.2 million – nearly 7.5 times as much as any other Aston Martin – but it clearly shares the same DNA as the likes of the DBS, DB9 and Vantage models. This should give the Aston Martin One-77 a top speed in excess of 200mph. As the name suggests, just 77 of these special Aston Martins will be built with delivery expected towards the end of 2009. The Aston Martin One-77 has been in top-secret development for fifteen months and Aston Martin is hoping to have a finished car by the end of 2009. Production will most likely be undertaken at Aston Martin’s Gaydon plant, with each car taking considerably longer to build than current models. The Paris Motor Show is in full swing now with cars such as the Lamborghini Estoque and Renault Megane Trophy taking centre stage.
