Ultimate Aston Martin Vanquish S for sale

The Vanquish S was the flagship Aston Martin from 2001 until 2007 when it was discontinued and replaced by the Aston Martin DBS

Auto Trader has come up trumps again with a rare and beautiful Aston Martin Vanquish S Ultimate for sale.

The Vanquish S Ultimate is a special edition limited to the last 50 Vanquish built – with only 20 including this car – in right hand drive. They are also the last Aston Martins built at the traditional home of Aston production – Newport Pagnell.

It differs from other Vanquish thanks to its unique ‘Ultimate Black’ paintwork. It is trimmed in leather with coarse stitching and has a leather headlining and black chrome interior fittings.

Each car is fitted with a personalised sill plate denoting the limited edition number of the car – with the example for sale on Auto Trader being number 48.

The Vanquish S Ultimate’s 5.9-litre V12 produces 520bhp and a huge 426lb/ft of pulling power which makes it capable of launching the car from 0-60mph in 4.8 seconds and on to 200mph – stirred but not shaken.

Like the ‘standard’ Aston Martin Vanquish S the Ultimate comes equipped with an Auto Shift Manual which allows the driver to change gear with Formula One style paddles mounted behind the steering wheel.

The Vanquish was penned by the design guru Ian Callum who is now in charge of the Jaguar XK and XF projects.

The Vanquish starred in the James Bond film Die Another Day in the hands of the swarthy Pierce Brosnan, while the DBS starred alongside Brosnan’s replacement Daniel Craig in Casino Royale.
