Aston builds Ultimate Vanquish
13 February 2007 Aston Martin has announced a limited edition Vanquish S to mark the end of production of its flagship model. The Aston Martin Vanquish S Ultimate Edition will maintain the same body and engine but will be available in a unique shade of black. Inside, the car will be trimmed in semi-aniline leather, with coarse stitching, leather headlining and a black chrome finish interior. Using the same 6-litre V12, the Aston produces a massive 520bhp and 425 lb/ft of pulling power. With a top speed in excess of 200mph, the Vanquish S will remain the fastest ever production Aston with acceleration from 0-62mph in 4.8 seconds. Only 40 of the models will be made, with each fitted with a personalised sill plaque denoting the limited edition number. Since its launch in 2001 more than 2000 models have been sold worldwide with Pierce Brosnan using one in the 2002 James Bond movie Tomorrow Never Dies. Prices for the luxury 2+2 will remain at £182,095. Auto Trader Links Aston Martin up for sale |
