German design house ASMA has revealed an evil-looking version of the Mercedes McLaren SLR hypercar – the Perfectus.

The black Perfectus was originally developed for the Abu Dhabi royal family and has been extensively modified and features a hugely protruding front, new side sills and alloy wheels.

The SLR’s 5.5-litre supercharged V8 engine has also been tuned with power increased to 700bhp from the car’s standard 626bhp.

With the added oomph, the Perfectus SLR will accelerate from 0-62mph in 3.5 seconds before reaching 217mph – 10mph more than the basic SLR.

But while the standard SLR will set you back £350,000 the ASMA will make most petrolheads wheezy – costing a cool €1,000,000 or £920,000.

However, this is small fry to the oil-rich residents of the UAE and other royal families who are renowned for ordering one-off supercars.

The Perfectus is the latest in a line of modified and special edition SLR following the recent launch of the factory-based Stirling Moss SLR at the Detroit Motor Show.

And fellow German tuner Renntech has also got in the act with its Renntech 777, announced at the weekend to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary.
