17 June 2008 Prices for the 2008 Skoda Superb have been announced with the well-specced large family saloon costing from just £15,490 There are six engines available for the Skoda Superb, ranging from basic 1.4-litre petrol through to a range-topping 260bhp 3.6-litre V6. Standard equipment on the Skoda Superb S includes seven airbags, alarm, remote central locking, air-conditioning, all-round electric windows, 16-inch alloys, electronic stability programme and ‘coming home’ lights which stay on for a short period after the ignition is turned off. Opt for the Skoda Superb SE and you gain 17-inch wheels, fog lights, multi-function steering wheel, dual-zone air-con, rear parking sensors, six-CD sound system and an umbrella which is fitted into the rear door like on the £265,000 Rolls-Royce Phantom. The top-trimmed Skoda Superb Elegance adds bi-xenon headlights, tyre pressure monitor, rain-sensing windscreen wipers, full leather seats, sat-nav and 18-inch wheels. For the first time Skoda is offering the Superb with a seven-speed semi-automatic gearbox while other interesting features include a four-wheel drive model while the Czech car was awarded a full five stars in the EuroNCAP crash test programme. Prices for the Skoda Superb start from £15,490 for the 1.4-litre model rising to £26,675 for the top-spec 3.6-litre Elegance. |
