Bombastic 205mph Bentley Continental GT
31 October 2007
The Bentley Continental GT has been beefed up into a 205mph monster by a German tuning company. Mansory – who deal primarily with luxury British cars – has taken the Bentley Continental GT’s 6-litre engine and increased power from 552bhp to 641bhp. This 90bhp hike means 0-60mph in 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 205mph – 10mph more than the standard Bentley. Pulling power has been boosted from 480lb/ft to 575lb/ft at just 1,750rpm – meaning awesome hill-climbing and overtaking potential. And the normally reserved-looking footballers’ favourite has been to the tanning salon as well as the tuning shop and is available in a orange/black combo, which divides opinion. Inside, the not-so-subtle-supercar has orange seats, trim and steering wheel and swathes of carbon fibre. The Bentley Continental GT with Widebody kit is the latest in a line of outrageous cars unveiled by Mansory. In September we revealed details of a bright white Bentley Continental GT convertible which is also capable of hitting 205mph. While prices haven’t been revealed, don’t expect to get much change from £140,000.
