Munich-based Geiger Cars has tweaked the supermodel-bodied Ford GT to produce a staggering 701bhp – enough to propel the mid-engined supercar from 0-62mph in just 3.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 211mph. Geiger has enlarged the 5.4-litre V8’s supercharger compressor and has raised the boost pressure to tighten the screws on the GT’s phenomenal performance. Further engine enhancements include an uprated cooling system and increased air circulation. And the modded-GT shouts its power advantage to its standard siblings – Geiger has fitted a specially constructed high performance exhaust system with large 110mm tailpipes, said to ‘accentuate the engine’s solid sound’. Keeping that prodigious power output on the road is a unique suspension setup featuring hydraulic shock absorbers and lowered springs. And massive monoblock brakes ensure the GT has the stopping power to reign in its performance. The German tuner has fitted massive 21-inch light alloy wheels at the back and 20-inch wheels at the front to ensure the car remains stable at high speeds. Visually, the GT retains its muscular proportions and distinctive centre styling stripe. Click here for more pictures of the Geiger Ford GT Auto Trader links Crazy 650bhp Ford Mustang revealed | ||
