New Renault Grand Modus – first pics
10 October 2007
Renault has released the first pictures of its all-new Grand Modus mini MPV ahead of its 2008 release. The city-car gains an extra 93mm over the standard Modus and boasts a 410-litre boot size which expands to 1,454-litres with the rear seats folded. Renault is targeting passenger comfort and space, and has equipped the Grand Modus with a host of storage spaces ‘within easy reach of passengers’. These include under-floor lockers, drawers, ‘aviation-style’ storage compartments and the Stay-Put system built into the front passenger seat cushion. Engines powering the new mini-MPV have yet to be revealed, but expect a range of fuel-efficient diesel and petrol variants. If the 4,034mm wheelbase of the new Grand Modus is a little to extravagant for a city car, the French carmaker has also announced a revised edition of the Modus. This comes in at a compact 3,873mm in length, with a 293-litre boot. Collapsing the rear seats releases a 1,302-litre storage capacity. The Renault Grand Modus and revised Modus are expected to go on sale in February next year. Auto Trader links New Renaultsport Clio 197 Cup | ||
