The all-new Mazda2 supermini goes on sale this weekend. Showcasing the first model in the latest generation of Mazdas, buyers will be offered the choice of the 1.3-litre TS and TS2, and a 1.5-litre Sport, producing 105bhp. Standard equipment across all models includes ABS with Emergency Brake Assist, driver and passenger airbags, remote central locking, CD player and a Thatcham Category 1 Alarm and immobiliser. The Sport adds 15-inch alloy wheels, traction control, a trip-computer and climate-control air-conditioning to the bill, while a sports bodykit will distinguish it from lesser models. Mazda has also announced a 1.4-litre turbo-diesel engine will join the range at the start of 2008, achieving a frugal 65mpg on the combined cycle. Prices start at £8,499 for the TS, rising to £11,799 for the Sport. We’ll be among the first to drive the diesel Mazda 2 in | ||
