Video footage of the newest – and fastest – BMW M3 has surfaced on the web.

The clip shows the £50,000 super coupe on the move, and gives the best taster yet of what we can expect when it's launched in September.

BMW's latest M3 is the first to use a V8 engine, which develops 420bhp guaranteeing supercar-slaying performance.

It will reach 62mph from a standstill in less than five seconds, before hitting an electronically-limited top speed of 155mph.

The video also reveals some of the new design features, including vents on the front wings and bonnet, as well as a huge power bulge on the hood.
