You can see why Honda used the phrase ‘Difficult is Worth Doing’ after watching this video

Welcome to the Weird World of Wheels, our weekly round-up of the strangest car-related news from around the world.

This week Dom Sacco looks at the craziest car ads ever created.

Honda create first ever live TV advert in mid-air

Honda has upped the ante with its new ad for the Honda Accord.

Their latest effort is extraordinary – it’s the first completely live advert to be aired on the small screen. And you can see why Honda used the phrase ‘Difficult is Worth Doing’ after watching this video.

You need Flash Player 8 or higher to view video content with the ROO Flash Player. Click here to download and install it.

Couple fight over a Toyota RAV4

Toyota decided to focus this advert on the battle of the sexes – in a Home Alone-esque battle for the Toyota RAV4.

With its slapstick humour and an explosive ending, it’s one of the funniest car ads ever to have graced the small screen.

Rafael Nadal destroys an alien

It starts off innocently enough – a plasticine-animated Rafael Nadal serving a rally against a bizarre foe – but the tennis star’s game soon descends into utter madness.

It’s all part of a plan to advertise the new Kia Pro cee’d, thought up by the Korean car manufacturer itself. But the way in which the car appears in the video is by no means conventional.

Kia said: “All advertisers are trying very hard to find unique ways to promote their brands.”

Kia has certainly succeeded in making this advert one of a kind…

Let’s bake a… Skoda Fabia?

Skoda promoted the Skoda Fabia last year in the form of this delicious advert.

Skoda even sent us a scrumptious piece of cake to remind us of the Fabia Estate’s international debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year (yum yum – thanks Skoda).
