Vijay Pattni is your host for this week's Weird World of Wheels and looks at the works of a man who can’t ‘Lego’ of his childhood…

What is it with men and nostalgia?

Don’t hide it – we know deep in your bedroom you’re hiding an ‘A-Team’ T-Shirt, a collection of He-Man figures, a radio-controlled car and a ‘Naf Naf’ jacket.

OK, maybe that’s just me, but the point about nostalgia is that it takes you back to the good old days of your childhood.

One particular childhood fascination is Lego.

The tiny bricks are still going strong today, and millions of kids across the planet have been charmed its simplistic Bob-the-builder style engineering.

And one Lego fan has combined his love of the little plastic bricks and cars – by building replica supercars in exquisite detail.

Firas Abu-Jaber is a self-confessed lifelong Lego fan, and has recreated some of the world’s finest machinery in Lego format, using up to 1,000 bricks to build his mini masterpieces.

He’s done a Lamborghini Gallardo SE, a Ford GT, a London Bus/Taxi combo, a Hummer and even the legendary K.I.T.T Pontiac Trans-Am from the most iconic 80s action show ever – Knight Rider.

We love these little critters and think Firas should be given a medal – made out of Lego of course.

With thanks to Firas at Cars Paradise
