Isuzu 'Big Horn' in funniest car names
23 October 2009
Vijay Pattni is your host for this week’s Weird World of Wheels – and hilarious car names.
Ever fancied a ‘Light Dump’? How about a ‘Big Horn’?
We’ll explain – giving you a minute to take your mind out of the gutter…
To celebrate the launch of the upcoming MPH show featuring Top Gear Live, the organisers found the funniest – and strangest – car names ever committed to metal and put it to the public vote.
And in a finale more nerve-wracking than an X-Factor final (or just watching Joe Calzaghe finally leave Strictly Come Dancing), a winner was picked.
Ladies and gentlemen, the award for the world’s funniest car name goes to…
The Yamaha Pantryboy Supreme.
Yes, a small Japanese van named after a pantry worker tops the list – but we personally reckon some of the runner-ups are comedy gold.
For example, imagine turning up to a dinner party in an Isuzu Big Horn, or rocking up to the shopping centre in your Isuzu Mysterious Utility Wizard. How about taking your long-suffering other half out in your Suzuki Every Joy Pop Turbo?
No, we didn’t think so either. But here’s the full list for a quick Friday afternoon chuckle:
1. Yamaha Pantryboy Supreme
2. Isuzu Mysterious Utility Wizard
3. Isuzu GIGA 20 Light Dump
4. Honda Life Dunk/Vougrafo Bimbo
5. Suzuki Every Joy Pop Turbo
6. Daihatsu Naked
7. Bognor Diva /Isuzu Big Horn
8. Mazda Bongo
