Boy limbo-skates under cars

Vijay Pattni is your host for this week’s Weird World of Wheels.
Whatever happened to just running outside until you ran out of breath?
Playing football, or just tag?
No – it seems kids in India have taken outdoor games to a new, potentially record-breaking level.
They seem to have strapped on a set of skates, stretched their limbs into ungodly positions and roller-skated ‘limbo’ style underneath parked cars.

And one particular boy has got quite a knack for it: nine year-old Rohan Ajit Kokane from Karnataka, in south India.
He can reportedly flatten his body so that it is no higher than eight inches off the ground, and then skate his way under parked cars blindfolded.
The young prodigy practices every day for four hours straight and has been ‘limbo-skating’ for around two years.
Local skate trainer Suryakant trains more than 200 students, “but seeing Rohan’s body flexibility and control, I knew he could do something unique.”
And “something unique” involved stretching, skates and blindfolds.
“I think he’s god’s gift”, explains Suryakant.
Our intrepid hero has already been awarded a certificate from the World Records Academy, and has been nominated for the Guinness Book of World Records.
On yer bike
And in more record-related news, Lincolnshire plumber Colin Firze decided what the world really needed was a really big motorbike. A properly big one. Like, one which is reeeeaally long.
So the 29 year-old decided to spend two months building a 46ft-long motorbike which can travel at speeds of up to 30mph – which has now been officially recognised by the Guinness Book of World Records as, you may have guessed, the world’s longest motorbike.

“You can ride it like a normal motorbike but steering is a bit of a problem”, explains Colin, somewhat obviously.
He chopped two 50cc Honda Sky mopeds in half and extended them using bits of aluminium, as a birthday present to himself.
“My mum Beryl was quite interested at first in what I was doing but by the time it was finished, she was glad to see the back of it”, Colin muses.
But Beryl should be concerned – her little cherub is planning to build an even longer bike.
