IntroductionBuyers of the all-new Porsche 911, which goes on UK sale on September 18, will be able to choose between two variants of the iconic supercar from launch.
The entry-level Carrera will cost from £58,380 and uses a 321bhp 3.6-litre engine. The Carrera S, which has a 350bhp 3.8-litre unit, starts at £65,000.
Despite only subtle revisions to its exterior styling, the latest 911 is mechanically very different to its predecessor, with 80% of its parts being brand new. The range gains a new six-speed manual gearbox, optional sports suspension and an extensively revised interior.
Convertible versions are set to arrive next year, followed by four-wheel-drive coupe and cabriolet models. A 450bhp Turbo should go on sale in 2006.
