Michael Owen’s Range Rover
£6,995

Aged 19 most teenagers drive Fiestas, Corsas and Clios, but not multi-millionaire footballer Michael Owen.

By 1998 he had already sprinted onto the international football stage at the 1998 World Cup Finals and been named BBC Sports Personality of the Year.

In 1999 he bought this Range Rover HSE CARiN edition, which he kept for three years.

When it was new it cost almost ten times its current sale price. It came fitted with luxuries including sat-nav, a Harmon Kardon sound system, privacy glass and leather seats.

Its 4.6-litre V8 produces 225bhp and 280lb/ft of pulling power, giving it a top speed of 125mph.

Jools Holland’s Bentley Turbo R
£9,200

Fancy tinkling your ivories in Jools Holland’s motor? His Bentley Turbo R is as smooth as the music made by his Jools Holland Big Band, and can be yours for £9,200.

Jools Holland rose to fame as presenter of The Tube alongside Paula Yates and began presenting the music show Later with Jools Holland in 1992, a show which is still going strong.

Its 6.75-litre V8 engine produces an amazing 487lb/ft of pulling power, allowing it to go from venue to recording studio with allegro tempo.

Rowan Atkinson’s Audi S8
£12,500

While Rowan Atkinson’s on-screen character Mr Bean makes do with a old yellow Mini, the man who plays him likes more luxurious motors.

Atkinson’s Audi S8 is for sale on Auto Trader and features a 4.2-litre V8 motor dishing out 360bhp between all four wheels.

The Audi S8 is a star itself, having a tyre-burning role in the incredible on-screen car chase featured in hit movie Ronin.

The Blackadder star is a true petrolhead and has even owned a McLaren F1 supercar – with its incredible top speed of more than 240mph.

Tottenham Hotspur’s BMW X5
£18,994

This highly-specced BMW X5 SUV was the run-about for Tottenham Hotspur Premiership Football Club.

The 2004 BMW comes equipped with enough kit to capsize a small ship, including 20-inch alloy wheels, aluminium running boards, Bluetooth communications, electric heated front seats, sat-nav, panoramic roof, TV and rear screens hooked up to a PlayStation 2.

To get your hands on the car which could have carried everything from spare balls to Tottenham’s star player Dimitar Berbatov, you only need £18,994.

David Platt’s Porsche Cayenne
£19,995

The World Cup-scoring ex-England captain David Platt was the first owner of this Porsche Cayenne – the star striker of the SUV world.

Platt’s most memorable moment came during the 1990 Italian World Cup, when he scored during the last minute of extra time against Belgium, sending England into the quarter finals.

The Porsche Cayenne S is similarly sporty and can accelerate from 0-60mph in just 7.4 seconds thanks to its 4.5-litre V8 with 340bhp and its four-wheel-drive sports chassis.

Like David Platt, the Porsche Cayenne is also pretty handy on grass.

Steven Gerrard’s BMW X5
£24,950

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard’s BMW X5 is on sale for just £24,950.

As well as being previously owned by one of the world’s best midfielders, it’s also a bargain – it would have cost more than £66,000 new and has only covered 34,000 miles.

Gerrard is one of the game’s highest earning players, taking home more than £100k each week.

The range-topping X5 is fitted with a 4.8-litre V8 engine pumping out 360bhp and is filled with luxuries including a TV and DVD system.

Colin McRae’s Radical SR3
£30,000

The late Colin McRae became one of motor racing’s greatest celebrities after he famously won the 1995 World Rally Championship in his Subaru Impreza.

He was made even more popular amongst the general public by the PlayStation game series bearing his name.

His hugely fast Radical SR3 road-racer is for sale on Auto Trader, fitted with a tuned motorcycle engine churning out more than 250bhp.

The low mileage Radical has been fitted with an optional ‘high-downforce’ package to give it the incredible stability and handling at high speeds and sprints from 0-60mph in just 3.2 seconds.
