Bentley Brooklands – about £300,000 The 5.4-metre Bentley Brooklands is a luxury two-door coupe with supercar performance. Powered by a 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V8, the 2.6-ton Brooklands accelerates from 0-60mph in five seconds and on to a top speed of 184mph. And with production limited to just 550 cars, it’s going to be one of the world’s rarest new motors.
Who should buy it? Rio Ferdinand. The Manchester United defender is a fan of British sports car, has had a stellar season at Old Trafford and was named captain of England in the recent friendly against France. And with deliveries expected in Spring, it could be the perfect reward if United win the Premier League for a second consecutive season.

Volkswagen Scirocco – from £20,500 The Volkswagen Scirocco is making a comeback after 15 years in the wilderness. Making its world debut at the recent Geneva Motor Show, the hot hatch was one of the event’s biggest hits, wowing the crowds. Available initially with a 2-litre turbocharged engine producing 196bhp, the Scirocco will have a top speed touching 150mph.
Who should buy it? Led Zeppelin. Just like the Scirocco, Led Zep were big in the Seventies, became icons in the Eighties and Nineties before making a storming comeback in the Noughties.

Nissan GT-R – £52,900 The Nissan GT-R is one of the biggest motoring shocks of the year. It’s a genuine Porsche 911 Turbo rival boasting a 0-62mph time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 192mph, yet it’s a fraction of the cost – prices start from just £52,900. And it lapped the Nürbürgring quicker than the £830,000, 253mph Bugatti Veyron.
Who should buy it? Cristiano Ronaldo. Just like the Nissan GT-R, Ronaldo is ridiculously quick, immensely powerful, great at corners, poster-friendly and, quite possibly, the bargain of the century. And that’s hard for a Liverpool fan to admit. Oh, and he raced a Bugatti Veyron.

Audi Q7 Hybrid – Price TBC The Audi Q7 off-roader is one of the flashiest 4x4s on the road – and Audi are making a green version to go on sale at the end of the year. Using hybrid technology, emissions on the German seven-seater are slashed by approximately 23 per cent, yet the Q7 Hybrid will still accelerate from 0-62mph in 7.6 seconds.
Who should buy it? David James. Portsmouth and England goalkeeper David James is the Premier League’s resident environmentalist. He has banned BBQs, fitted energy efficient light bulbs and drives a Chrysler 300C converted to run on rapeseed oil. The Audi Q7 Hybrid still has the cool Kudos among footballers but also boasts eco-friendly technology – it’s win win for the Jolly Green Giant.

Audi TTS – Price TBC The Audi TTS is one of the most stunning cars on the road for less than £35,000. Fitted with a tweaked version of the standard 2-litre TFSi engine, the range-topping Audi TTS develops 264bhp – up from 200bhp. This increased power accelerates the semi-automatic Audi TTS Coupe from 0-62mph (100kph) in 5.2 seconds and on to a limited top speed of 155mph – while managing a respectable 29.7mpg. (Watch the TTS in action)
Who should buy it? Danielle Lloyd. Glamour models love the Audi TT. Scouse babe Danielle Lloyd is currently one of the most popular of the current crop of tabloid totties. And it’s a sensible alternative to her other drive – a Bentley Continental GT.

Alfa 8C Spider – about £115,000 The Alfa 8C Competizione is one of the most stunning-looking supercars ever – and the Spider model is even more sensational. Powered by a 4.7-litre V8, the Spider produces 450bhp and 354lb/ft of pulling power – giving the Italian sleek machine a top speed in excess of 180mph.
Who should buy it? Fernando Torres. The Liverpool striker has been the biggest surprise of the football season, smashing 28 goals for the Reds. While he may be Spanish and not Italian like the Alfa, Torres has a devastating turn of pace, huge amounts of flair and women love it when the top comes off.

Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe - £300,000 The Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe is the one of the world’s most exclusive two-door coupes and a sign of the BMW-owned carmaker’s continued dominance in the luxury marque. With a 6.75-litre V12 engine producing 453bhp, the Phantom Coupe has a limited top speed of 155mph. And at 100mph it’s using just 10 per cent of the engine’s power.
Who should but it? Simon Cowell or Sir Alan Sugar. These multi-millionaires are two of reality TV’s biggest stars and are also massive car fans. They’ve both got the four-door Phantom, while Cowell also counts a Bugatti Veyron among his car stable. But who should own one? We suggest a no-holds barred battle of put-downs to settle who gets a Phantom Coupe.

Honda Accord – from £19,250 The new Honda Accord takes a more aggressive stance and is available with the choice of two diesel and two petrol engines. Safety has been improved - vehicle stability assist (VSA) is standard on all new Honda Accords. And expect bullet-proof reliability.
Who should buy it? John Terry. The Chelsea captain is a no-nonsense defender who may not have electric pace but is well-built and will always give 100 per cent.

Ford Focus RS – Price TBC The super-hot Ford Focus RS is taking the fight to the German duo of the Volkswagen Golf R32 and Audi S3. It’s rumoured to have a tuned version of the Focus ST’s 2.5-litre turbocharged engine and will have a top speed of about 160mph.
Who should buy it? Ricky Hatton. Like ‘The Hitman’ the RS is fierce-looking and packs a serious punch.

Lamborghini Reventon - £1,000,000 The remarkable Lamborghini Reventon is based the Murcielago’s platform but inspired by a fighter jet. Powered by a 6.5-litre V12 engine, the Reventon accelerates from 0-62mph (100kph) in 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 211mph. Just 20 will ever be built and they’ve all been pre-sold, so you’ll have to pay an over-the-odds price for a used one if you ever want to own a Reventon.
Who should buy a used one? Fabio Capello. Both are Italian, expensive and frightening.
