The Renault Laguna Coupe

While the main focus of the Frankfurt Motor Show has been on the £800,000 Lamborghini Reventon and Ferrari F430 Scuderia, Renault has surprised the crowd with its Laguna Coupe Concept.

While the regular Laguna is a reliable car, it’s not renowned for its head-turning looks.

But the sleek Coupe looks like it’s the result of a one night stand between an Aston Martin V8 Vantage and a Nissan 350Z.

The pick of the engines available on the Coupe is the 3-litre V6 diesel which produces 265bhp and 406lb/ft of pulling power meaning a top speed in excess of 140mph.

The Ford Escort RS Cosworth from Look at the Wheels on That

We’ve got Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson’s old Ford Escort RS Cosworth for sale on Auto Trader.

Billed by Jezza as the ultimate hot hatch, the 1993 Cossie – with its turbocharged 227bhp engine –has a top speed of 140mph.

This inspired Ford-loving Stuart Milne to wax lyrical about the brilliant four-wheel-drive motor for his Look at the Wheels on That column.

He also dug out this retro video.

The Mad Mullah gets tasered from The Weird World of Wheels

Richard Brunstrom, the North Wales chief constable nicknamed ‘The Mad Mullah of the Traffic Taliban’ for his fondness for speed cameras isn’t loved by too many motorists.

So when he got stunned by a 50,000 volt taser gun, it put a lot of smiles on a lot of faces.
