07 March 2008 We’ve been trawling the web for some classic motoring clips, from the funny to the plain unbelievable. This is what we found…
Geneva Motor Show 2008 features Supercars | Green cars | The big round-up | New Bugatti Veyron | Car of Geneva | City cars
The wraps come off the Rolls Royce Phantom Coupe The 2008 Geneva Motor Show always has some fantastic world premieres, but few cars are as glitzy as the £300,000 Rolls Royce Phantom Coupe. It is a sportier version of the Rolls Royce Phantom, and features the same 6.75-litre V12 with 453bhp all contained in a sleeker two-door body. The interior is fitted out like a five-star hotel boudoir, from its leather seats to the headlining with hundreds of sparkling ‘star’ lights which resemble the night sky.
We are not sure of this dog’s name, but he sure does feel at home in the Volkswagen Polo. In fact, he’s scared to be anywhere else. VW has always been keen to promote the Polo’s safety in its adverts: there was the classic Guardian Angel ‘built to protect’ advert and the ‘small but tough’ campaign too. And this clip from a London ad agency shows a Jack Russell singing ‘I’m a man’ by Spencer Davis Group in a new ‘confidence’ campaign.
The Tomahawk is a motorbike with four wheels – and the weirdness doesn’t stop there – it is fitted with a huge 8-litre V10 engine pumping out 500bhp. The Dodge Viper engined superbike can hit 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds its builders claim it will top 400mph – if any rider is willing to try. And it isn’t just a drawing or computer simulation; watch the video below to see it in action. |
