Peugeot Vivacity 3 bike review

Peugeot has sold several hundred thousand Vivacity scooters in less than 10 years. Now the French manufacturer has given the 50cc two-stroke a complete makeover and come up with the compact mini-GT for 2008. The Vivacity 3 combines many of the design features of a GT maxi-scooter with the size and price of an entry-level machine. So the Vivacity 3 boasts a stylish new look and higher specification than its predecessor but with an even lower price. The Vivacity 3 boasts the largest usable storage capacity in its category, thanks to the 13-litre Jet-in compartment, located at the front, supplementing the 22-litre under-seat compartment. It’s not just its original looks, inspired by contemporary urban design, that make the Vivacity 3 stand out. It is crammed with practical features, such as an 8.5-litre (1.9 gallon) fuel tank, providing a range of up to 155 miles. The tank is situated under the floor pan to lower the centre of gravity for better handling. A low seat height of just 786mm will also aid rider confidence. The blue backlit instrument panel includes a clock and external temperature gauge and there is even a 12V socket to charge up accessories while on the move. The Vivacity 3 will sell for £1,199 OTR, initially in a choice of Pearly Black and Red Cherry, with a two-year manufacturer’s warranty for peace of mind.
