Car Driving Simulator

BSM Products, the simulator

Designed especially for new learner drivers, BSM's unique driving simulator combines the controls of the BSM training car, the Vauxhall Corsa, with the latest technology.

You learn on your own and at your own paceYou learn on your own and at your own pace
Using the simulator is just like learning to drive in a real car, except that what you do is reflected on the three screens in front of you and you are not faced with real life traffic or other people watching.

Learn to control the car at your own pace, in a safe, off-the-road environment.

At the start of each exercise a video will demonstrate what you need to do and you can be off practising your driving skills within ten minutes.

You build your confidence
The simulator controls are those of the BSM training car, so you'll feel much more relaxed and confident when you take to the road for the first time.

The programme takes you through the basic skills you need to acquire as part of the process of learning to drive. Detailed explanations in the form of video demonstrations and the use of an automatic pilot makes learning to drive on the simulator fun, interesting and uncomplicated. As you improve through the exercise the simulator responds and gives less instruction each time, until you can do the exercise on your own without any help. This helps you identify your strengths and weaknesses, with the simulator pinpointing errors. The simulator will give you all the help you need. The screens here show you exactly what to do with the foot controls so that you can learn how to move away smoothly and under control.

You're prepared for on-road lessons

You're prepared for on-road lessons
Because you're familiar with the controls, you'll be able to concentrate on what's going on around you rather than what you are doing with your hands and feet. So when you get behind the wheel, you and your BSM instructor will be ready to move on to the next stages of the learning process.

Skills covered include:

  • Moving off, accelerating, slowing down and stopping the car
  • Working your way through the gears
  • Manoeuvring at slow speeds
  • Practising stopping the car in an emergency
  • Dealing with junctions
