About Brake

Brake is a national road safety charity with two clear goals:

1. To prevent death and injury on the roads through education of all road users and campaigning for Government improvements to road safety.
2. To care for people who are bereaved or affected by serious injury in a road crash.

The charity carries out their aims through various support services, including a helpline and literature distributed by police officers.

Brake founded Road Safety Week – an annual flagship event to stimulate community involvement in promoting road safety awareness.

How we’ve helped
